The Beatles

I am very excited for the release of the next installment of Rock Band titled  "Rock Band Beatles".  Although other bans specific music releases have yet to live up to “Guitar Hero: Aerosmith”. I believe that “Rock Band: Beatles” will buck this trend.  For one, The Beatles are a band that is popular for people of all ages and pleasing to those who are fans of rock, pop, blues, and other genres. In short September 9th can't arrive soon enough.

The Jonas Brothers

The Jonas Brothers have this week's #2 movie and #3 album, but shouldn't they be #1? That's what I'd expect, but that just isn't the case. 

Have you listened to their latest album or seen their movie Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience? What did you think of it? It grossed less than half of what Miley's Best Of Both World Concert movie grossed in the first week so it isn't looking good.

So my question to you is: Are the Jonas Brothers still popular or do you have a new favorite band or musician?

The Jonas Brothers can't decide if they'd cast Angelina Jolie or Jennifer Aniston in one of their music movies.

When asked at the premiere of Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience they couldn't decide. "That's a hard one. I don't know," Joe Jonas told reporters. "We'll take both."

Nick Jonas said that his dream girl only has to have one quality which is, "Someone who is good to our mom."

So who would you cast for a movie about your life - Angelina or Jen? Would your movie be a comedy, a musical, a drama, or an action/adventure?

Joaquin Phoenix Raps?

Joaquin Phoenix has given up acting to pursue a career as a Hip-Hop musician. The two-time Academy Award nominee has been laying down tracks in his home studio and says that his last acting role will be in Two Lovers.

After video of him rapping hit the Internet I thought it was just a joke and he didn't actually want to be a rapper, but I guess I was completely wrong. The footage of him rapping was horrible and he seemed like a fish out of water. I hope he goes back to acting sooner than later so he can preserve some of his dignity.

Taylor Swift is once again at the top of the Billboard 200 charts beating out Beyonce and Kanye West for the top spot. At just 19 years old Swift is just amazed by her popularity."I cannot believe that. I get a phone call every single week," she told MTV News at her "Saturday Night Live" rehearsal. "I honestly can't believe that. The fans have been so good to me. The fact that people actually like it, I can't believe it." At 19-years-old she will be the youngest country musical guest on SNL. It looks like she has a bright future ahead of her.

Coming in at #2 is Beyonce with her album "I am...Sasha Fierce" with hits "Single Ladies" and "If I Were a Boy". At #3 is Kayne West with hits "Heartless" and "Love Lockdown".

My own rock band

I went to my friend Lisa's house the other day and she had a video game drum set. I had never tried playing before, but once I started I could not stop! IT WAS SOOO FUN!!! I played old songs by Weezer, Nirvana, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. My arms got tired after awhile so I started to sing while Lisa played the drums or guitar. I quickly realized my voice is not the greatest, but I still sang my heart out.

So now I'm thinking about starting my own band. I will ask one of my friends to sing, but which instrument should I play? What is your favorite instrument?

I want to play rock music and maybe some songs by Miley Cyrus. SHE'S AWESOME! If you started your own band what type of music would you play?
